Before you pay, you see

  • What we read in each document

Type, language and word count, document by document.

  • How we calculated your price

Counted words, pages of 250 and $21.90 a page.

  • What you’ll pay, and when

Your price now; whether it’s charged or held on your card is shown before you confirm.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one gives you the price.

  1. Upload

We read each file for its type, language and word count, and show you the price before we ask for your email.

  2. Pay the price you saw

Documents we could read are charged and started right away. If one needs a person to check it, or you gave us a date to confirm, we hold that amount instead of charging it, and ask before anything goes up.

  3. Receive

A signed PDF and one Certificate of Accuracy per document, with what to do next for where you are filing.

If it is rejected on our work, we fix it

If USCIS, a university or another U.S. institution rejects our translation for reasons of translation accuracy or certification format, we correct it free of charge. If the corrected version is rejected again, we refund you in full. What that does not cover: the receiving institution’s own requirements beyond the translation itself, and illegible source documents we flagged before starting.

Questions

Before you order.

What people ask most before they upload. Can’t find yours? A person answers.

What does USCIS require of a translation?

8 CFR § 103.2(b)(3) asks for a full English translation plus the translator’s certification of accuracy, completeness and competence. The instructions of the form you are filing can ask for more: those for Forms N-600, I-601 and I-485 say the certification must also include the translator’s signature, printed name, the signature date and contact information. USCIS keeps no list of approved translators and requires no particular credential. What no translator can promise you is the decision of the officer reading your file — if a translation of ours is rejected on accuracy or certification format, our correction guarantee covers it.

Do other institutions accept it?

Universities, courts and state agencies each set their own rules, and some ask for things USCIS does not — notarization being the common one. Tell us who is receiving the document and we will tell you what we know before you order. We do not claim universal acceptance.

How fast is it?

We don’t publish a turnaround we haven’t measured. If you have a date, put it in “When do you need it?” and nothing is charged until a person confirms we can make it. Without a date, documents we could read start as soon as you pay.

How do you count pages?

By words, not by sheets of paper. One page is up to 250 words, which is the U.S. market standard, with a one-time 60-word tolerance applied to each document’s total (so up to 310 words is billed as one page, and a 350-word document is billed as two pages). Our system reads each file as you add it and counts the words in it, and you see every count next to its document before you pay. If a count is uncertain, we hold that amount instead of charging it until a person confirms it.

What if my document is handwritten or hard to read?

When our system can read a handwritten document or pages that are hard to read, we price what we could count and hold that amount instead of charging it until a person confirms the count — and ask you first if it comes out higher. If a document cannot be read automatically, it gets no price on screen: it is marked price to be confirmed and stays out of your total until a person reads and prices it before anything is charged.

Do I need a printed copy?

We deliver a signed PDF, and you can print it. Whether a printout is enough is up to the office that receives it: for USCIS, the instructions of the form you are filing decide whether you send an original or a copy (8 CFR § 103.2(b)(4)). We do not mail hard copies at the moment.

Is my document safe?

To show you the count before you order, our system reads each file as you add it, and we don’t store it unless you send the order. Files of an order go to private, encrypted storage that only the people working on your order can open, and we never use customer documents to train any model.
